Creating Positive Life Change

6 July 2011 in Life Change

Welcome to my living room! Come on in, have a seat! You can choose from the soft cozy recliner, the cushiony swivel rocker, or have a seat on the couch with the comfy pillows. Oh, by the way there is a bowl of freshly roasted nuts and a dish of homemade chocolates on the coffee table and there’s a pitcher of ice cold lemonade in the refrigerator. Please enjoy yourself!

Days come and go so quickly, can you believe it’s already July 2011? Well, I’ve wanted to have you over for some time. I’m thrilled that you could join me! I invited you in so we could talk about the importance of creating positive life change! It is a huge factor in our lives!

Let’s look at this topic from a couple of angles.

I’ll be the first to tell you that I’m not always ready for change, but I never want to get stagnant. Life is far too short to feel sorry for myself (even though I’ve been there done that).

Before we get too wrapped up in our subject I want you to know where my heart is. I think that will help you understand how I view change and all that it means. The greatest desire of my heart is that each person would know the true transforming power that comes from accepting the grace of Jesus Christ. It gives focus and meaning to my life. Of course I want that for you also!

Let’s talk a little more about change and how attitude relates to it, shall we?

Everything in life is a decision for me. Am I just going to drift through life and watch everyone else achieve their goals and dreams? No Way!

What if I am too tired, don’t have enough money, or don’t know the “right” people? Never gonna stop me!

What if I am drowning in self-pity and feel worthless? Too bad, snap out of it!

Do you follow me, so far? Great!

It’s all about my attitude! Believe me my attitude has been full of every excuse and “justified” reason for not moving forward that anyone has ever come up with, it seems! I can compete with the best of them when it comes to a snappy attitude!

But, you know what? None of those things mattered when I made up my mind to live my life for Jesus Christ, my Savior. He has changed me, had mercy on me, and even unbelievably forgiven me! What great love! The fact that I have a working relationship with the one true living God is what makes positive life change happen!

We’ll chat more about our awesome God as time goes on.

A few years before my dad died he shared these thoughts with me: that I only have one life to LIVE, only one life to GIVE, and only one life to be a ROLE MODEL to my children. Yes there are and always will be more thoughts, but for now I must deal with how I can create positive change through the power and strength of the Lord.

This is a good place to take a break and give ourselves a chance to think about what we’ve already discussed; how I live, give and train others. That’s plenty of food for thought!

Talk to you later, bless you!

Welcome to my blog: Life Unwrapped!

31 December 2010 in Uncategorized

Life is full of trials and triumphs; how we handle each of them is what counts. 2010 is coming to an end, but I still have choices to make. Here are a few of my thoughts (some reflective, others intentional) to begin 2011.

I made a decision to change my life; there’ll be parts that I will forever miss.
I need to move on and do what’s right; I am done with the same old strife.
You’ve changed me Jesus; when will I recognize it?
I’m on your team; I need you so!
Save me and love me, so that I may be willing to go.
Rescue me from this dying situation and lead me to life, the blessed abundant life!

I am a child of the living God! He really knows me, understands me, and gives me wisdom to do what He calls me to do. Thank you, Jesus!

I look forward to hearing from many of you. Let me know how I can pray for you, your family, and your friends. My prayers are with you always!
